WELCOME !
So this is basically a step by step (with pictures!) on how to get the servers up and running !

I'm going to try and make this as legit and user friendly as possible.

1. FIRST AND FOREMOST !
Go to.
My computer > Local Disk (C:) > Nexon

If you have a maplestory folder in there (such a GMS) be sure to save those files in a different location.
Once that is doneeee.. delete the current Nexon folder. COMPLETELY.

2. Visit the website soulms.net.
And click on the Download section.

3. Once you are there !

Download the items that are circled, these are mandatory yo !

NOTE:
-If you do not have Windows NET Framework 3.5 or Winrar, download them.
Windows NET Framework 3.5 : Download this if your "launcher" does not show.
Winrar : Used to extract ".rar" files.

4. Download time ! ~

5. Wala !

Your download should be done ! And now it's time to set it all up . Oh joy ~
I was going to add pictures for this step but my setup was being lame and wouldn't open.
SO, yall will have to figure that out on your own. I'm sure it's not too difficult ;p

6. Once your Maplestory v88 has been installed and your SoulMS.rar has been downloaded.

-Open My Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Nexon > Maplestory
Leave it open.

-Open your SoulMS.rar and direct the extraction to Maplestory.

-***Important*** (If it is not already.) Leave an unextracted SoulMS.rar copy in your Nexon>MapleStory folder.

7. After you have extracted the SoulMS client into the Maplestory folder, go to your Maplestory folder.
Notice the HSUpate.exe.
Move it to your HShield folder. ---Replace everything if it asks.

8. Now, run the SoulMS client that is located in your maplestory folder, there will be a pop up, click settings.

-Another window will pop up. Just click "Save Changes."

9. After fill in your information and login.

-The game will redirect you to a window where it asks you to download SoulFix.
Don't do it, it is unecessary.
Just press ok.

10. The launcher will now open, click start game.

DONE !
The game should now run on it's own.

Future reference ! Please read, this WILL happen.

Once you completely close MS after one session.
You MUST re-extract your SoulMS.rar that is located in your Nexon>MapleStory folder because you followed this tutorial to the T right? Just right click it and select "extract here." If it asks to replace just yes.
Drag and drop your HSUpdate file back to your HShield folder. You MUST replace if it asks.
...If this was too confusing.
Just repeat steps 6, 7, 9, annd 10.
Once you do step 8 once, you do not have to repeat.

-NOTE: If you ever crash or dc, you MUST close maplestory all the way and replace the HSUpdate & SoulFix files again.

Server still not working for you?
Here are a few things to check before you freak out.

You followed the tutorial, to the T.
You have NET Framework downloaded and installed.
Download available in the downloads section of the SoulMS website.
You tried multiple channels when attempting to log on.
You closed MS all the way before relaunching.
Is the server is up? You can verify this by visiting the website.
Try running the client as an administrator.

Click "thanks" at the top if this helped!

I did everything but now the only prob is that everytime i launch SoulMs(i check task manager)that SoulMs AND GMS open so.o am i supposed to end the process after i launch SoulMs?
p.s and if i end the process of gms RIGHT after i click START from the splash screen it it shows it loading but then nothing pops up D;

There is a new client download as of 4 days ago (ehh give or take) ?

You no longer need SoulFix.bat

I will update the tutorial when I can.

It's pretty much the same thing however... you're only moving HSUpdate.
Re-extracting is still needed apparently, for me at least.

This. Does. Not. Work.

I'm using W7x64 and I'm getting the error (0x300..etc) no matter what I do. Helping getting to connect the server first would be a good idea (btw can't connect to GMS either, idk if this is somehow related..?)

Actually it does work. For most people.
Obviously, since you can't even get GMS to work, it's your computer.

But since this tutorial doesn't work for you.. and my sister has windows 7..
I'll try making 2 tutorials for each OS.
As for now I can't cause I'm busy.
Have you tried the downgrader ?

I seem to be getting the 0x3000030 error on all v88 PS now.. idk why. I played v88 successfully before I tried SoulMS for the first time. And yes I've tried all.

Is the game supposed to load longer than 10 mins?
When I click on the .exe and log on to my acc, it suddenly seems it is not responding?
