After loading hackshield, nothing happens... What's wrong?

Hi,

I've been trying for more than a week to play a private server with version 83 or 88. With no results.

First i tried a V83 and got an error code that started with "-2", i'm sorry i cant remember the full code but if it is important to solve this problem i'll download v83 back again.
I tried differend clients and everytime i got that error.

After trying alot with V83, i deleted it and downloaded V64. This worked fine! no problems at al! So i tought, maybe, i just cant play a V83...

Then i tried V88, and now i have another problem ...
When i start SoulMS everythings goes fine, after pressing "start game" Hackshield comes and loads (or what ever it is doing). And than.... NOTHING

So, yea.. what's wrong?
I hope you can help me out, i realy dont want to play v64

Okay , If you have hp please recover your computer.

Due to many installation of maple story , it can mess up the file very easily.

Every time you delete maple story you should delete it from control panel

reinstall maple story might help or not.

but reinstall the whole computer will definitely help because you have too many installation

I tried an other V88 and that one worked! but i dont really like that server.
So, befor i reinstall my computer, is there anything else that might be the problem?

the one that work might be the one what caused all these problem , and also have you download microsoft net frame 2.0+?

yes i have net frame 2.0+. I'm going to reinstall the computer.

Never seen any v64 private server :l

Anyways, on Topic. If you didn't reformat (I think this is what you guys meant by reinstall) your PC yet, check if HSupdate is 154kb or 144kb in your HSshield folder.
If its 154kb, the game will stop after the HSShield animation and then nothing else, since its the wrong one. Just replace it with a new one, available from the website download page.

After i load HShield, nothing happens but just an error saying, "There is no data file on your computre Please download the newest version of the client." What should i do to make it work?
