v88 installation error

I downloaded the v88 setup off the site, andwhen I open it a pop up appears saying "Cannot load game data" Appreciate it if you canhelp.

Anyways, you need to download the v88 ms game files as well; the SoulMS file is not enough. So download MS v88 then do the steps outlined in another guide that's stickied somewhere

Orrrrr, you're on Windows 7 and my windows 7 laptop doesn't run Soul so I don't know how to fix that.

And it would be much better if you had screenies or your steps to installing the game so people can know what could have went wrong

Ohh so it's the setup itself. Well, you probably downloaded a bad setup? Try another website or something.

And that looks like Windows 7. It doesn't work on Windows 7 without tweaking some things that I don't know how to tweak so unless you want to find a solution to future error that MIGHT come up, I recommend you use a computer with XP or get a XP operating system alongside your Windows 7 (I think you can dual?)

I'm using Vista and have tried v88 setups from other private servers. I doubt it's the setup's problem (but I could be wrong.) because the same thing pops up for every v88 setup I download.

Try going into the folder in which you downloaded the setup and running as administrator

Tried that- same problem.
