Unusual Problem with SoulMS Client. Anyone?

Well, I tried getting the game to work for about 2 days straight now. Looked through all the forums
but for some reason it seems like no one else had this problem:

As soon as i click the SoulMS game client, the box with the settings and stuff appears for about half a second
and then disappears.. Note that i do get the mushroom icon on the Task Bar in the bottom
but as soon as i put my mouse cursor over it, it disappears too. I checked the task manager and it doesn't
have any maple related tasks running. I also followed the steps to setting up the game, i.e. Extracting to my Maplestory v88 folder and putting the HSUpdate in the HSShield folder. I also have the Microsoft Loopback Adapter
running and my NET Framework is 3.5. So in other words, i cant even access the SoulMS client because
as soon as i click it it pops up for about half a second and disappears. Any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Additional Info - this problem seems to happen with any private server client that i try.
My original private server pick was Celino MS but the client seemed to have the same problem.
I then tried SoulMS hoping that the client here would actually work but the same problem happened.

Hmmm, it seems like you're gonna have to reinstall v.88 if its a problem for all your servers because it's not just soul ms.

Nah that's not it. I tried reinstalling V.88 2 times already. I doubt its a problem
with the game version. I'm thinking it's more of a problem with the game client and or
my computer. Any other suggestions?

Make sure you replaced the hs folder and it updated, if not then make sure your directory path in the settings is set to maplestory not soulms.

That's the thing... I cant access the settings on the client because as soon as I click it, it opens, then disappears almost
instantly.

Your SoulMS Launcher is either corrupt, or something is blocking it...
Have you tried redownloading the client?
Also, if you have and the error persists, then something that is running on your computer is being an ass and blocking it.

Edit: Okay, i re-read your post and it seems like the client is not the problem...
Try running a virus scan through your computer and also try turning off firewall and you can also try changing the compatability... of SoulMS.exe.. (idk if that will do anything but its worth a shot.)

Well, firewall is off and so is anti virus. I did re download the client like
a thousand times already so its not that.
I think that's it. Something must be running on my comp that's blocking
that shit.

As for the compatibility, I tried that already and it doesn't work xP.

I will run a virus scan right now to see if that works.

Make sure you put the hsupdate in your hsshield folder every time you try to start the game. The hsupdate should be 144kb, while the old should be 155kb.

Also, from what it seems, something is definitely blocking it from running. Do you net framework?

Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening or what program might
be blocking the SoulMS client from starting up properly?

Been 5 days now trying to fix it and nothing yet :S
