Alright well lets start off from scratch.
Go to control panel -> uninstall a program -> maplestory
Go to the downloads page (http://soulms.net/?page=download) and download
"MSSetupv88"
and put it in a folder called "Nexon" (or anything you want. I have mine called PrivateNexon)
make sure its like this thou. C:/Nexon
If you have windows vista or windows 7:
*right click on the MSSetupv88 (you should be able to find this setup in your downloads folder or if you have firefox, Ctrl+J and right click MSSetup and press "go to containing folder" or something like that)
*Go to Properties, and go to compatibility, and from the drop down menu, press "windows vista" and click the "run as admin" box.
* Now run the setup, and let it install.
Now go on and download "Game Launcher" from that same page.
When it asks you where to put the files, make sure it goes to the file where Maplestory v88 is. (like C:/Nexon, or if you were following the PrivateNexon thing, it would be C:/PrivateNexon)
After that click on SoulMS.exe inside that folder of ours and type in your info. When you click enter, it should come up with that little updater box with the little mushroom in the bottom right hand corner that says "Start".
Now you should be able to play the game.
