you have to disable them damn unidentified networks
then try again.
the unidentified networks interfear nexon/MS shit
its only turned on when you enter SoulMS
because of the dedi's IP i guess

That's it installing the adapter(which is what allows errbody that connects to play)
delete the soul ms stuff OR move it all out to the desktop/away from the maple folder and try eet again.
dont forget to disable the unidentified networks again.

delete the SoulMS files
SoulMS.exe and anything that wouldnt belong in the MS folder in the first place. :3

after you reinstall, re download soulms stuff
and you should be good!~

(disabling the adapters, soulms stuff, that black screen stuff)
and installing MS at v88 like it was brand new.

Installation did exactly what it did last time. . . Installed fine etc etc. I put the files in...and now the HShield just doesn't install completely or w.e . . . .

and Replace it with the HSUpdate from the one you got from the SoulMS DL?

It's more of a driver error, I believe.
Try updating all of them by going to star>computer>control pannel>device manager.
you'll see a lot of things like keyboard mouse etc.
Go to your display adapter , itll show your model , right click>update.

If that doesn't work you've done a clean installation of the game so it's a comp issue, unless its registry errors with maple ,

*EDIT* Mkay, since im guessing you alrdy tried to update your graphics card, theres only one other thing that can cause it, and it's the hshield folder, Ima upload mine to media fire, try mine since I didn't download mine from soulms.

And put the "hshsieldupdate.exe" in you maple folder losely

check what version you have.
go to your search stuff (If I'm correct, like ALL Windows, it should be in the bottom left.)
and type dxdiag
look at what version of DirectX you have

yeah they're all graphics cards directX and hsield errors.
She said she just udpated directX tho,
Try updating your graphics card like i posted above star>cp>device manager etc.
and try my hshield up thar^^

I would love to just know what the fuck this error actually means. But of course Maplestory just gives you 59187581 different numbers with absolutely no explanation with what's actually wrong. -_-
